PROJECT INFORMATION

The Time New York Hotel was looking to update and renovate their existing hotel and needed the structural plans to support this update. Set two blocks from Rockefeller Center and a mile south of Central Park, this Cosmopolitan hotel is in the Theater District of NYC and draws inspiration from its talented neighbors in the worlds of music, theater and multimedia. As such, the hotel wanted to create an intriguing experience for their guests, complete with geometric artwork; a hidden, gem-like lounge and bar; and a completely clear, glass elevator which offers panoramic views of the entire hotel.

The Time New York offers the best of both worlds – the openness and transparency of the lobby contrasts with the hidden areas of an enclosed bar and lounge immediately adjoining. The hotel itself offers sleek finishes, exceptional in-room hotel amenities and glimpses of the city. The final reveal, a spectacular Penthouse, is one visited by few but desired by all.

Our Solution for The Time New York

The entryway of the luxury Midtown hotel is secret and seductive, revealing a hidden gem in the midst of the concrete urban jungle and mundane pulls of everyday life. We provided all of the structural designs for the hotel's upgrades - from their restaurants such as Serafina, to their rooftop Penthouse, and all of the design work for their mezzanine location lounges. Additionally, we helped secure all of the permitting and applications necessary to legally complete this work. We are fully able to service civil and structural engineering designs in any capacity and specialize in working with hospitality groups across the United States.
