PROJECT INFORMATION

Using an existing lot with an existing structure, plans were made to develop a completely new 4-story School Building where an existing tire shop had been on Queens Blvd. Miltiadis Leptourgos, P.E. provided all of the designs and plans for this project except the architectural design.

This included the excavating and shoring to lay the new foundation, and all structural designs, plans, and applications to make this project a reality. Additionally, we provided the complete plumbing, sprinkler system and standpiping to ensure proper safety protocol was followed in the event of fire. This included all DEP Water and Sewer Connections.

We also provided all mechanical plans and electrical systems, including the design of the emergency generator systems.

The school will serve the Elmhurst area and help educate future generations for generations to come.

Our Solution for Elmhurst Charter Public School

The first step of the project was to aid in the supervision of the demolition of the existing structure and then provide the structural and foundation designs to ensure the School will be built safely and correctly from the ground up. We provided all of the structural designs for the Public School's construction- from the structural redesign to the new sprinkler and standpipe systems, a whole new plumbing system, a new mechanical system, and more for the newly proposed 4-story school building. We are fully able to service civil and structural engineering designs in any capacity and specialize in work across the greater NYC region.
